But in the nine years from 2011 to 2019, it has been held only four times in Rajasthan. The test has been conducted in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2017. In 2011 and 2012, it was called Artet. Then, in 2015 and 2017, it was held as REIT. To join Class III Teachers Level-I and Level-2, it is mandatory to get 60 per cent marks in the Teacher Eligibility Test.
Ineligible B.Ed degree holders also await RTET
Thousands of B.Ed-BSTC holders, who were ineligible in RTET last time, are also awaiting RTET. They also want to get restarted and get eligibility. As per the provisions, 60 per cent marks are required in RTET to get teacher eligibility. In 2017, rete swelled with a large number of candidates who did not get 60 per cent.
